Ryan Mitchell was unstoppable, pouring in 5 goals and adding 2 assists as the Warriors jumped to an 8-2 halftime lead and never looked back. Wando controlled the face-offs from the opening draw, winning 14 of 18. Sophomore midfielder Ethan Cole chipped in 3 goals while the Warrior defense held James Island to just one shot in the third quarter. Wando moves to 3-0 on the young season and looks like the team to beat in the Lowcountry.

Mount Pleasant showdown. The Bengals rallied from a 5-3 deficit in the third quarter with four unanswered goals to stun the Landsharks. Jackson Reeves scored the go-ahead goal with 4:12 left and Aiden Park sealed it with an insurance goal in the final minute. Oceanside's Liam Burke had a hat trick but it wasn't enough as Beckham's defensive unit clamped down late. Intense cross-town rivalry game that lived up to the hype.

Game to watch: Wando at Lucy Beckham, boys lacrosse on Tuesday. The Warriors are 3-0 and look dominant. The Bengals just came off that emotional comeback win over Oceanside. This is the first Mount Pleasant mega-matchup of the season. If Beckham's defense can control face-offs like they did Thursday, they have a shot. But Wando's Ryan Mitchell is playing on another level right now.
